Lutronic Partners With Dr. Rox Anderson and Other Renowned Physicians to Offer Laser Treatments Gratis to Children With Disfiguring Pigmented Lesions

The specialized device was donated to the Vietnam Vascular Anomalies Center (VAC) at Nguyen Tri Phuong Hospital in Vietnam. The Vietnam Vascular Anomalies Center (VAC) is in partnership with Harvard Medical School, Massachusetts General Hospital and Beckman Laser Institute, the University of Medicine and Pharmacy of Ho Chi Minh City and Baylor College of Medicine to treat children with disfiguring pigmented lesions, vascular lesions, burn scars, radiation-related damage and other skin abnormalities.

Dr. Rox Anderson, a dermatologist at Harvard Medical School and a world renowned leader in laser technology and application for more than two decades, has been donating his time to treat children in Vietnam and providing education to local physicians.

"All children, regardless of country or financial situation, deserve a chance to look normal. Helping children is the best thing I do – I am glad that I can help children of all walks of life around the globe, and I am especially gratified that I am able to help the children in Vietnam. Because of the donation from Lutronic, we are now able to utilize the SPECTRA laser for treating a variety of treatments, including disfiguring pigmented lesions," said Dr. Anderson.

Lutronic also asked Dr. B.L. Goo who is an expert in treating pigmented lesions to fly over to Vietnam to train local physicians and demonstrate laser procedures on patients with the SPECTRA laser system which enables effective clinical results over a wide range of pigmented lesions.

"We are very pleased to participate in this global collaboration with leading physicians and organizations to help infants and children by donating the SPECTRA laser and we especially want to applaud physicians and organizations that bring renewed hope to these children," said Lutronic CEO and President Haelyung Hwang.
