Dr. Matteo Tretti Clementoni

Born in Piacenza on 29 April 1968. Dr. Matteo Tretti Clementoni graduated in July 1986 from the Scientific High School "A Calini" in Brescia. an experimental high school specialising in physics. mathematics and natural sciences. In June 1993 he graduated with first-class honours from the University of Bologna. presenting an experimental thesis in Plastic Surgery entitled "Unilateral Cleft Lip and Palate: timing and new therapeutic protocol". Fully qualified in the medical profession. in 1993 he also won a place at the University of Pavia's School of Specialisation in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. He finished the course in 1999 with maximum honours (50/50). presenting an experimental thesis entitled "Noma: etiopathogenetic aspects and reconstructive experiences". During the specialisation course he was also a Medical Officer in the Arma dei Carabinieri (Italian National Military Police) and began undertaking humanitarian missions in Bangladesh and Africa. primarily carrying out reconstructive surgery on burn injuries and congenital malformations. In September 2000 he became Level 1 Medic in the Plastic Surgery Functional Unit at the Multimedica general hospital in Sesto San Giovanni (Milan). directed by Dr. Massimo Signorini. Having left that position. together with the whole team. in January 2004 he took up the same position in the Plastic Surgery Functional Unit at the Casa di Cura Santa Rita in Milan, also directed by Dr. Massimo Signorini, where he remained until 2007. His private professional practice. which had begun parallel to his hospital practice. then became his exclusive activity from 2007 onwards. In 1996 he began working with lasers and has progressively expanded into this field.
